About Us
The idea for The Inside Loop developed out of our increasing frustration at the seeming lack of British representation in the online Fibre Arts world. We knew that the UK was producing fantastic, quality yarns, and that the skills of our designers were just as admirable as those from overseas.
We also listened to the cries of knitters who wanted to use the great patterns in other online publications, but found the materials difficult, and sometimes impossible, to obtain.
The Inside Loop is for everyone, but primarily for the UK. It draws on the skills of our home-grown designers and showcases the fabulous yarns available readily here. Foreign materials are by no means outlawed, but we will guarantee that everything you fall in love with on this site is easily found in your local bricks-and-mortar or online yarn store.
Similarly, you will meet many UK designers and artisans on this site. We are constantly keeping an eye peeled for delicious new yarns, designs and accessories and we bring you regular profiles of British yarn- and fibre- related companies. You really need look no further than your own backyard in order to find some of the most drool-worthy materials to be had.
